In order to achieve or maintain your bizSAFE Level 3 status, your organisation is required to engage an SAC Auditing Organisation (SAC-AO) to audit your RM Implementation.

In order to achieve or maintain your bizSAFE STAR status, your organisation is required to engage a Workplace Safety and Health Auditing Organisation (WSHAO) to audit your RM Implementation after you have successfully attained OHSAS 18001:2007.
If your organisation has SS 506, you can do a direct entry into bizSAFE STAR without the need for the above audit.
Note: For existing bizSAFE Enterprises with OHSAS 18001:2007, a renewal audit has to be conducted every 3 years. We recommend conducting the audit at least 2-3 months before your expiry date to allow sufficient time for you to amend and update your documents.

The organisation must state in the procurement specification(s) that its vendors, contractors and subcontractors must be bizSAFE Level 1 or above. In addition, the appointed vendors, contractors and subcontractors must undertake to reach bizSAFE Level 3 within 24 months; and
The organization is either:
SS506 certified; or
OHSAS 18001 certified with a recent RM Implementation Audit Report conducted by an MOM-Approved WSH Auditor; or
bizSAFE Level 3 or higher; or
SMA/ SMC certified; or
Effectively implemented Risk Management System, supported with a recent RM Implementation Audit Report conducted by an MOM-Approved WSH Auditor.

The Construction Safety Audit Scoring System (ConSASS) is an audit tool which provides an independent assessment of the safety and health management system at a work site.
From 1 Aug 2011, all construction worksites with a contract sum of S$30 million or more are required to have their mandatory SHMS audits conducted based on the ConSASS audit checklist.
ConSASS provides a profile of the development status and maturity level of each component of a worksite’s safety and health management system.
